At many institutions, students are left to cover competition costs themselves, including travel, lodging, and food. At TALON, we believe no student should miss out on learning opportunities due to financial limitations. That’s why sponsor contributions are crucial. Your support helps us provide housing and meals, essential competition hardware, and the technical infrastructure that powers every SWCCDC event.
We fully cover hotel accommodations and meals for all student competitors, creating a seamless, supported experience from arrival to departure. For teams facing additional travel challenges, we offer grants to help them get here. By taking care of the logistics, we make it easy for students to show up, compete, and focus on what matters, learning, growing, and connecting.
Access to realistic, enterprise-grade hardware is essential to the kind of learning we deliver. Sponsor support allows us to purchase, maintain, and upgrade the systems students train on giving them hands-on experience with the tools and technologies used in the field.
Our custom-built private cloud powers every aspect of the competition. It enables safe, scalable, and realistic environments for students to defend, while introducing modern cloud skills and exposing them to the kind of infrastructure they’ll encounter in real-world cybersecurity roles.

TALON delivers hands-on, real-world cybersecurity training through events like SWCCDC, giving students experience they can’t get in a classroom.
Our alumni network and competitor base spans across the Southwest, creating a pipeline of talent that sponsors can engage with year after year.
We actively connect sponsors with students through mentorship, career conversations, and recruiting opportunities that go beyond resume drops.

All sponsor tiers are invited to our in-person recruiting mixer during the regional competition. This is a chance to connect directly with student competitors, share your company’s mission, and discuss internship or job opportunities. Sponsors at the Silver tier and above will have a dedicated table to showcase your brand with banners, materials, and swag creating a space for one-on-one conversations with top talent.

Sponsors with observation access receive special “green badges” that allow them to quietly observe teams in action during the competition. While direct interaction during the event isn’t permitted, sponsors can follow up with students afterward to ask questions and learn more. Observers are expected to respect team boundaries, but teams are encouraged to welcome sponsor insight into their decision-making and teamwork under pressure.

All sponsors are welcome to share press releases about their involvement with SWCCDC. If you plan to capture photos, videos, or conduct interviews during the event, please coordinate with our game organizers to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
